A great many people have inspired and encouraged the writing of this website and my gratitude to each one of you is boundless.

First of all, my mother, Dorothy McDowell, who instilled a love for dogs in me.

My children, Kim Bickford, Holly (Bickford) Leal, and Robert Bickford, for loving me and being patient when I was showing dogs and traveling.
